About Us
Lilliputland Miniature World first opened in January 2000 and the response has been incredible. We had collected miniatures for many years and a facility like this was a long term dream.
The catalyst
The catalyst for this venture was the acquisition of the original 'Lilliputland' model railway and it's restoration over a four year period. When this was finally up and running, it was a case of 'what do we do now?'
A hobby gets out of hand
A substantial building program commenced and over the years we have added additional exhibits. What started as a hobby has now got well out of hand. We will probably never finish as we keep getting other ideas.
Our intentions
Our intentions are to have fun and provide an experience that is enjoyable for people of all ages. We want to share the enjoyment we get from constructing these miniature scenes.
We don't want to get to big or flashy.
